Strobe My Ride – Terms of Service & Product Liability Disclaimer

Welcome to Strobe My Ride (“SMR,” “we,” “us,” “our”). By accessing, purchasing from, installing, or using any products purchased from this website (the “Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the “Terms”), including the Product Liability Disclaimer below.
If you do not agree, do not use this Site or our products.

1) Eligibility & General Conditions

  • You confirm you are at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction.

  • You agree not to use the Site or products for any illegal, unauthorized, or unsafe purpose.

  • We reserve the right to refuse service, cancel orders, or restrict access at any time, for any reason, including suspected misuse, abuse, or resale.

2) Products, Descriptions & Availability

  • All products, pricing, descriptions, images, and specifications are subject to change without notice.

  • We do not guarantee that content is free from errors or omissions.

  • Product images may be representative and not exact.

  • We reserve the right to limit quantities or cancel orders, including those suspected to be for resale or distribution.

3) Orders, Payment & Checkout Acceptance

  • You agree to provide accurate billing, shipping, and payment information.

  • Payments are processed securely through Shopify-approved gateways.

  • We are not responsible for delays, losses, or errors caused by incorrect information provided at checkout.

  • Checkout Acceptance: By completing a purchase, you acknowledge that Strobe My Ride sells vehicle lighting equipment only and does not provide legal authorization or guarantees of on-road legality for any product.

4) Shipping, Delivery & Risk of Loss

  • Shipping timelines are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

  • Delays may occur due to carriers, weather, customs, or events beyond our control.

  • Risk of loss transfers to the customer once the order is tendered to the carrier, not upon delivery.

  • International customers are responsible for all customs clearance requirements.

5) International Orders, Duties & Taxes

  • Prices do not include duties, taxes, brokerage, or import fees unless explicitly stated.

  • International customers are solely responsible for all such charges.

  • SMR is not responsible for refused shipments, seized goods, or delays caused by customs or regulatory authorities.

  • Currency exchange benefits do not alter or offset shipping, duty, or warranty obligations.

6) Returns & Refunds

  • Returns and refunds are governed by our Return & Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

  • Certain items are final sale or non-returnable, including used, installed, bench-tested, or clearance items.

  • International returns are subject to stricter conditions, including customer responsibility for all shipping, duties, and taxes.

7) Site Content & Updates

  • Information on the Site may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated.

  • We may modify or remove content at any time without notice.

  • We are under no obligation to update information.

8) Product Use, Legal Compliance & Professional Installation (CRITICAL)

  • Our products are intended for professional installation and lawful use only.

  • You are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with all local, provincial/state, federal, and international laws governing vehicle lighting, colour usage, mounting, and on-road operation.

  • Laws vary by jurisdiction; SMR does not provide legal advice or guarantees of legality outside explicitly stated applications.

  • You agree not to impersonate emergency services (Police, Fire, EMS) or use restricted colours or patterns where prohibited.

Authorized Use & Restricted Colours

Certain products sold by Strobe My Ride may include colours, flash patterns, or configurations that are restricted or reserved for use by authorized emergency services, government agencies, or designated vehicles under applicable laws.

Strobe My Ride sells equipment only and does not verify, grant, or imply authorization for on-road use of any product.
Purchase of a product does not confer legal authority to use restricted lighting on public roadways.

The buyer is solely responsible for determining whether they are legally authorized to install and operate any product and for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

9) Product Liability Disclaimer & Assumption of Risk

By purchasing, installing, or using any SMR product, you knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks associated with:

  • Installation, wiring, mounting, integration, and maintenance

  • Electrical systems, vehicle compatibility, and load management

  • Visibility conditions, environmental exposure, and operational use

  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Strobe My Ride, its owners, employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any injury, death, property damage, financial loss, or consequential damages arising from:

  • Improper installation or wiring

  • Unauthorized modification or misuse

  • Electrical failure, fire, or vehicle damage

  • Use in jurisdictions where such lighting is restricted or prohibited

  • Impersonation or misrepresentation of emergency services

By purchasing, installing, or using any Strobe My Ride product, you acknowledge and assume all risks associated with proper installation, lawful use, and compliance with applicable laws.

Strobe My Ride is not responsible for determining the legality, authorization, or permitted use of any product in any jurisdiction.
Use of restricted colors, patterns, or configurations on public roadways without proper authorization is solely the responsibility of the buyer.

Strobe My Ride shall not be liable for any consequences arising from unauthorized, improper, or unlawful use of its products.

10) Warranty Disclaimer

  • Except where expressly stated in writing, all products are provided “as is”.

  • No implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose are provided.

  • Warranty terms, where applicable, are defined separately and may vary by region.

11) Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Strobe My Ride from all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and legal fees arising from:

  • Your installation, modification, or use of any product

  • Your violation of any law or regulation

  • Any accident, injury, or damage involving products purchased from SMR

This indemnification includes, without limitation, claims arising from unauthorized use of restricted lighting, impersonation of emergency services, or violations of vehicle equipment laws.

12) Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • SMR shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages.

  • Liability, if any, shall be limited to the purchase price of the product.

  • Nothing herein limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by law (e.g., gross negligence).

13) Intellectual Property

All content on the Site—including logos, trademarks, product names, images, designs, and text—is the property of Strobe My Ride or its licensors and may not be used without written permission.

14) Privacy

Your use of the Site is governed by our Privacy Policy, available on the Site.

15) Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, supply chain disruptions, labor disputes, or governmental actions.

16) Governing Law & Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada.
All disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Ontario.

17) Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance.

18) Severability & Entire Agreement

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. These Terms, together with referenced policies, constitute the entire agreement between you and Strobe My Ride.

19) 🇨🇦 We Won’t Be Undersold — Our Canadian Price Promise

If you find the exact same product (same manufacturer, model, function, and color) sold by another authorized Canadian retailer at a lower advertised price, we will beat it.
