What makes Strobe My Ride different?

Strobe My Ride is a Canadian-owned warning-lighting company based in Ottawa.

We focus on practical product selection, strong value and accountable support. Many SMR products are stocked locally, and customers receive help from a real Canadian business, not a faceless marketplace seller.

We also clearly identify important specifications, including SAE ratings and warranty coverage, on individual product pages. Not every product carries the same certification or warranty.

What is the difference between the SMR Patrol, Fleet and Signal lines?

The SMR Line gives customers three performance and price levels:

SMR Patrol Line

Our premium line for customers requiring maximum performance and configuration flexibility. Select Patrol products offer multi-colour configurations, synchronization and up to three operating modes.

SMR Fleet Line

Dependable commercial lighting designed for everyday work vehicles, contractors, tow operators, snow-removal crews, municipalities and commercial fleets. Fleet is our primary SAE-focused line, with applicable ratings identified on each product page.

SMR Signal Line

Practical, affordable warning lighting for customers who need dependable visibility without paying for premium features they may not require.

Features, SAE ratings, operating modes and synchronization capabilities vary by product. Always review the individual product specifications before ordering.

Are your lights made in Canada?

No. SMR products are manufactured overseas, primarily through ISO-certified manufacturing facilities in China.

Products are selected, specified, sold and supported by Strobe My Ride in Canada. Overseas manufacturing allows us to offer professional performance and stronger warranty support without the premium pricing associated with major legacy brands.

Strobe My Ride products are independently sold and are not manufactured by, affiliated with or endorsed by Whelen, Federal Signal, SoundOff Signal or any other warning-light manufacturer.

Are your lights compatible with Whelen, SoundOff Signal or Federal Signal control systems?

Most SMR products are designed as complete stand-alone warning lights.

Select products may support external flashing or integration with compatible controllers when that capability is specifically stated on the product page. Compatibility should never be assumed based only on wiring, appearance or mounting footprint.

Our products are not represented as direct plug-and-play replacements for proprietary systems such as Whelen Core, SoundOff Signal Blueprint or Federal Signal Pathfinder.

Contact us before ordering if you plan to connect an SMR product to an existing controller or external flasher.

How long does shipping take?

Shipping time depends on the product brand, warehouse location and destination.

Free Canadian shipping on qualifying orders over $199 applies only to eligible SMR Line products and excludes oversized items.

SMR Line

  • Most in-stock SMR products are stocked in Ottawa.

  • Same-day local pickup is available for eligible in-stock products.

  • Most shipped orders leave within one business day.

  • Carrier transit time depends on the destination.

Feniex Industries

Feniex products are manufacturer-direct and are not stocked in Ottawa. Allow approximately 2–3 weeks for manufacturer processing, followed by approximately 3–5 business days for delivery to Canada once dispatched. Manufacturer availability, carriers and customs may affect these estimates.

ZZ-2 Products

  • ZZ-2 products are supplied through Montreal and Vancouver warehouses.

  • Please allow up to three business days for order processing before carrier pickup.

  • Carrier transit time begins after the order leaves the applicable warehouse.

All shipping timelines are estimates. Weather, carrier delays, inventory availability, customs processing and peak-volume periods may affect delivery.

Where do your products ship from?

Products ship from different locations depending on the brand:

  • Ottawa, Ontario: Most in-stock SMR Line products

  • Montreal or Vancouver: ZZ-2 products

  • United States: Feniex Industries

Orders containing products from different brands or warehouses may arrive in separate shipments.

Do you ship outside Canada?

Online checkout is currently available for Canadian shipping addresses only.

International dealers, distributors and commercial customers are welcome to contact us about potential orders or distribution opportunities. Availability, shipping costs, import requirements and payment arrangements must be reviewed before an international order can be accepted.

Are warning lights legal where I live?

Vehicle-lighting laws vary by country, province, state, municipality and application.

Strobe My Ride sells vehicle-lighting equipment but does not grant or verify authorization for its use on public roads.

The purchaser and installer are responsible for confirming that the selected colour, mounting location and operation are permitted for the vehicle’s intended use.

Certain colours and configurations may be restricted to authorized emergency, government or service vehicles. Purchasing a product does not provide authorization to operate it on public roads.

Are all Strobe My Ride products SAE compliant?

No. SAE compliance should not be assumed across the entire store or product line.

Select products are designed or tested to standards such as SAE J595 or SAE J845, including Class 1 requirements where specifically stated on the product page.

The Fleet Line is our primary SAE-focused product line, while select Patrol and third-party products may also carry applicable ratings. Signal products are positioned as affordable warning-lighting solutions and should only be considered SAE-rated when the individual listing expressly states that rating.

The vehicle owner and installer remain responsible for meeting:

  • Provincial or territorial regulations

  • Municipal bylaws

  • Ontario Traffic Manual Book 7 requirements, where applicable

  • Contract, employer, insurer or fleet requirements

  • Any other rules applicable to the vehicle and its intended use

Contact us if you need help identifying a product with a particular SAE rating.

What vehicles are your warning lights designed for?

Our products are commonly used on:

  • Emergency and response vehicles

  • Tow trucks and roadside-service vehicles

  • Construction and infrastructure vehicles

  • Snow-removal equipment

  • Municipal and utility fleets

  • Commercial work vehicles

  • Vehicles requiring additional warning visibility

Suitability depends on the product, mounting position, colour, flash pattern and intended application. Contact us before ordering if you are uncertain.

Do you offer installation services?

Strobe My Ride does not currently perform installations directly.

We work with independent installers familiar with SMR products and may be able to recommend someone in your area. We also provide product information, wiring instructions and technical assistance to customers and professional installers.

Installation pricing, scheduling and workmanship coverage are arranged directly with the independent installer.

What is the No-BS Warranty?

Eligible SMR products are backed by our No-BS Warranty, covering qualifying manufacturing defects and workmanship issues under normal use.

Warranty coverage is not identical across every product:

  • Many eligible Patrol Line products carry a three-year No-BS Warranty.

  • Fleet and Signal warranty periods vary by product.

  • Feniex and ZZ-2 products are covered by their applicable manufacturer warranties.

  • The warranty shown on the individual product page is the coverage that applies to that product.

Warranty coverage does not include damage caused by incorrect installation, improper voltage, accidents, misuse, unauthorized modification or operation outside the product’s specifications.

Approved warranty claims are handled through repair or replacement in accordance with the applicable warranty terms.

Can I return or exchange a product?

Return eligibility depends on the product, its condition and how it was supplied.

Generally:

  • Products must be unused, uninstalled and in resalable condition.

  • Customers must contact us before returning anything.

  • Special-order, configured and drop-shipped products may have different conditions.

  • Original shipping charges are generally non-refundable.

  • Return shipping or restocking charges may apply.

A product is not automatically eligible for return because the selected colour or configuration is prohibited in the customer’s jurisdiction. Customers are responsible for confirming local requirements before ordering.

Please review our Refund Policy or contact us before sending a product back.

Do your products include instructions and technical support?

Yes.

We provide product guidance, wiring information and technical support whenever possible. Instructions for supported SMR products can be found on our SMR Line Instructions page.

Technical support does not replace professional installation. We recommend using a qualified installer whenever you are uncertain about wiring, mounting, fusing or programming.

I’m not sure which product I need. Can you help?

Yes. Choosing the right warning light depends on:

  • Vehicle type

  • Intended application

  • Mounting location

  • Required viewing angles

  • Colour and flash-pattern requirements

  • Desired operating modes

  • Applicable compliance requirements

  • Budget

Contact us before ordering and we’ll help you identify the right product for your application, not simply the most expensive option.
